Public transportation includesthe Broad Street Line (stop Walnut and Locust - 2 blocks away ), PATCO High Speed Line and Bus 12 (on corner of 12th Street & Locust). The parking lot on the corner is $12/hr. Street parking is minimal. There is a side entrance on Camac Street, Wheelchair accessible entrance with elevator is at the back entrance on St. James Street. She has worked in the non-profit, public health, healthcare, and higher education sectors. Within these industries, she has encountered a diverse population to include college students, at-risk, geriatric, minority, underserved, low-income, and the disabled. Her specialties include at-risk, minority populations who have a history of trauma.
She holds a Master of Science degree in Higher Education Counseling/Student Affairs and has completed post masters coursework in clinical mental health from West Chester University of Pennsylvania. She holds two national certifications in counseling from the National Board for Certified Counselors.
Katrina frequently participates in professional development opportunities to hone her skills and techniques. Recent professional development opportunities included: Jeffrey Mitchell's crisis interventions for individuals and groups, fundamentals of Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM), opioid addiction, motivational interviewing, trauma-informed, prenatal and postpartum depression, post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anxiety interventions and techniques, safety and ethical issues, suicide prevention and assessment, recovery-oriented care, and diversity and cultural awareness to name a few.
